Yes, probably, it was mental illness. He talks in third person, possibly a sign of mpd/DID (multiple personality) . Shows complete delusion of trying to understand politics / cant make any friends who are 'literate'. His last name is Loughner (loner)! A perfect story. But......Someone who already has mental problems and admits in is own youtube to conscious dreaming and then is involved in a shooting of a US congresswoman who is a target for conservatives. I'm not saying its a black op. I'm just saying he easily could have been programmed. Sirhan Sirhan was hypnotized by a normal psychiatrist. Today the techniques for hiding programming far exceed normal hypnotism. You take a person who is already shows signs of multiple personality disorder and start manipulating them by switching identities. When 'conscious dreaming' and 'sleepwalking' as he says he was when he made the youtube videos, he could have been doing so as another personality. Most likely this was his own mental instability that built up, typical Travis Bickle syndrome (taxi driver). But that is why it makes for such a clean method of programmed killer, a political disruptor, when perhaps other avenues (smear/narrow tea party loss) had failed.
